 Street Art will be my theme this year

December

The City has not so much street art, but some is especially nice.

 A lane near Hay Market has pictures right and left, top and bottom.

 Especially nice is the scaffolding of a building site in Wynyard beautified with some art work. 

 This wall of a building in Elizabeth Street at Central Station changes ads frequently.

My favourite Street Art work in the city is in a little lane off George Street behind Martin Place.  Bird cages are suspended, birdsong are playing constantly and on the pavement are plaques with the names of endangered bird species and their calls can be heard.

November      

The suburbs have lots of street art.

The Aboriginal mural at the railway bridge outside Redfern Station is outstanding.

 I always looked at it on my way to work in the 80’s.

  

The suburbs, especially the older ones like Annandale, Balmain, Glebe, Newtown have lots of street art.

 

  

         

October  
              

The rocks along the breakwater wall at Nambucca Heads on the Mid-North Coast are covered with pictures, graffiti, messages left by tourists and families. The V-Wall is an ever-changing art canvas.

September

Balmain has a big graffiti wall in White Bay Park. 

August

I love gardening and rest now and then too to watch the Blümchen grow.

Back in Sydney it is time to relax from a great holiday overseas,

                         
                         spending time with the family, 

                                    

                                                                  and walking through our suburb.

We are in Berlin now.
And there is lots of Street Art, especially on Apartment Blocks.

Sydney has a very special style of Street Art in the City. And it is actually on the street pavement.

     

March

In nearby Coffs Harbour, the biggest town on the Mid North Coast I could not find much street art. But one lane has lots of beautiful art work all along:

even on the walls of carport there:

and also one along a large wall of a supermarket:

February     

Our little town is very beautiful, but Bellingen has not much of Street Art. The main street kept its historic streetscape and there is no possibility for painting a facade. Off a busy side street along a lane leading to a parking area is one large  brick wall with a picture: 

But locals must think more is needed, at least the High School.
