 October

Late 2014 we decided that keeping the house in Katoomba is not really a good idea since our daughter and family had moved away from the Blue Mountains to the Mid-North Coast. Their property on the outskirts of Bellingen had a large toolshed which could be transformed into a little house on its own. So we sold the place in the Blue Mountains and invested into changing the shed into a granny flat. Within 4 months our daughter had transformed that dump into a most comfortable little home for us.

Now we lived again in 2 places, in ahold suburb of Sydney, close to the  city and over 500km further north at the outskirt of a small rural country tow . We stayed a few months here and a few month there. When Covid became a big problem in 2020 we decided to live in Bellingen permanently. The Balmain flat was empty and sometime some grandchildren live there.

It was a great challenge and joy to establish a new garden, turning a building site into an oasis.
