In the first year together in Berlin we spent lots of time walking along streets still with ruins around, and wandering in parks, always talking about the future. And we went often on long outings with our bikes

This year the theme for my Blog will be

Our Travels Overseas.

Over the years we have been to all continents.

 DECEMBER

On our Honeymoon in 1956 we went to Austria on our little 125cc motorbike.

It was a great adventure. We took lots of photos on that trip, all colour slides, but only a few got scanned and are accessible now.

Later in 1991s we were walking in the Austrian Alps and also visiting Salzburg.

 NOVEMBER

Our first trip overseas was a great adventure. In 1955 after I finished high school we went to England to work as agricultural labourers in a student program. We were based in Yorkshire.

Afterwards we travelled for a few weeks all around Scotland and also spend a few days in London.

None of the colour slides pictures we took survived.

In 1958 we went again for a short trip to London with our baby daughter.

 OCTOBER

At the end of 1987 we went to New Zealand with Hart’s sister. We travelled for 21 days up and down both Islands. We did not spend much time in towns and gave Aukland a miss, rather enjoyed the beautiful landscape.

 SEPTEMBER

In Spring 1991 Hart's sister took us to ITALY, spending Easter in the Tuscany.

Florence and Venice were just so beautiful and Pisa was nice too.
